After working alongside many talented artists in the Continuum Collective in 2022, I found myself keeping ties with many of its members through a private server originally called “The Fan Club”. After many small production contests and various collaborations between different artists in said server, the decision was made, in 2023, for us to create a loose online collective called @Homies. It is through this collective that I got involved in the co-production of the track “Stick Shift”, featuring Isaiah K. on vocals.

This collaboration with fellow producer JGRANTBEATS is a classic example of beat-making through the Internet: I periodically posted loops and ideas in my text channel, and JGRANT elaborated on them and turned them into various beats and drafts on his end. What originally was meant to be a house-inspired chord progression became the foundation for an off-kilter trap banger, over which Isaiah lays a braggadocious and smooth-talking performance.

I’m very happy to be involved with this collective. Despite the stylistic differences between various members, I’m very excited to see how our next projects evolve and take shape.
